Rachel Davis

Rachel is Senior Gastroenterology Dietitian at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South Australia with clinical expertise in the nutritional management of patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Rachel is currently undertaking a PhD with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Group at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University of Adelaide investigating the effect of dietary protein on the colonic microenvironment and its relevance to ulcerative colitis. Rachel and her team are the recipients of an ECCO project grant and will lead a randomised controlled trial for adults with quiescent ulcerative colitis investigating where dietary protein and protein supplementation fits within UC treatment strategies.
