Important Notice: Fraud Prevention and Official Communication

Please be vigilant regarding potentially fraudulent activity and suspicious email correspondence. All official communication from ASN Events will originate only from a @asnevents.net.au email address.

Key Security Reminders:

  • We will never request payment via email containing bank transfer details without an official invoice.

  • All card payments must be made through our secure online payment gateways.

If you receive any emails that appear suspicious or request payment, do not respond, click any links, or provide any information. Instead, contact your ASN Events Conference Organiser, Manisha Prakash directly to verify the legitimacy of the communication.

Accommodation Payments

Due to the amount of publicly available information on congress and institution websites, some committee members and congress speakers are being contacted by third party companies, often from overseas, purporting to be event managers who request to secure accommodation or flight bookings. These requests always ask for financial information or credit card details and will generally be quite pushy in their attempts. Firms claiming to be legitimate accommodation and travel agents for your event, such as Business Travel Management and are not endorsed or authorised by the conference organisers. They are actively trolling event webs and trying to match invited speakers and committees with personal details often found on their own institute websites.

Please note, ASN Events will never ask a third party to retrieve credit card or financial information from you without prior personal arrangement with yourself and an ASN staff member. The only time you will be required to provide financial details, will be for accommodation bookings via the secure external booking tool. All other conference related costs, ASN Events will send through an invoice with remittance details which contains full ASN Letterhead, completed by an ASN Staff member and will always be from an @asnevents.net.au email address.

Registration Payments

We take the protection of the information you provide to us very seriously, including your contact details and any financial information and have instituted secure IT platforms to protect your data.

A secure site is provided for online payment of your registration. This has its own section on the ‘dashboard’. The payment options are:

- Credit card - Visa or Mastercard (1.25% surcharge applies) or AMEX is accepted but a 2.95% surcharge applies for all AMEX payments.

- Direct debit (you will be emailed a congress invoice which includes banking instructions upon application) 

An Australian Tax Invoice will be provided for all registrants once registered. You can reprint this and your receipt from your ‘dashboard’ at any time.

The ABN for the conference is 90 093 246 176. All rates quoted include GST and are in Australian dollars. All online registrations are checked by the secretariat. If there is any query they will contact you. If you wish to make changes or additions after you have registered, return to your ‘dashboard’.
