A/Prof Peter Boyd

A/Prof Peter Boyd is Director of Gastroenterology at Cairns Hospital. He is a general and interventional gastroenterologist with a longstanding commitment to specialist service development  in regional Qld. He has been involved in developing an extensive hub and spoke specialist outreach model from Cairns into the Cape York and Torres Regions. His main research interest is in the area of endoscopist directed sedation where his Unit in Cairns leads the nation in the development of the EDNAPS model of care.
