Dr Niroshan Muwanwella

Dr. Niroshan Muwanwella is a highly skilled Interventional Gastroenterologist with expertise in third space endoscopy and advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures. He is currently a PhD candidate at Curtin University, focusing on optimising third space endoscopy in the management of upper gastrointestinal motility disorders.

Dr. Muwanwella has undergone extensive postgraduate training, including fellowships in interventional endoscopy at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth. His clinical and research expertise spans POEM, C-POEM, G-POEM, ESD, EMR, ERCP, and advanced Barrett’s endotherapy.

He is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Royal Perth Hospital, contributing to cutting-edge endoscopic innovation, research, and clinical practice improvement. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at national and international conferences.
