Niall Dempster

Niall Dempster completed his training in General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in Oxford and is the current Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Fellow at Monash Health in Melbourne. He was awarded a DPhil by the University of Oxford after defending his thesis on the Effects of Low Calorie Diet and Bariatric Surgery on Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease. He has ongoing clinical and research interests in the multidisciplinary treatment of obesity-associated metabolic disease.
