Lauren Andersson

Lauren Andersson is a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist and final year PhD student at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne. Lauren's research focuses on the application of liquid biopsy and the analysis of circulating tumour DNA in the diagnosis and management of hepatocellular carcinoma. Originally from Darwin, Lauren completed her junior doctor in the NT and specialist training in Perth. Lauren is passionate about rural medicine and women in leadership. Lauren believes that science is the foundation of clinical medicine and clinician scientists are the conduits in the translation of scientific discovery into meaningful clinical change.
