Prof Joseph Lim
Dr. Lim is a Professor of Medicine and Vice-Chief of the Section of Digestive Diseases at Yale University, where he serves as Director of Clinical Hepatology and Associate Medical Chief of Yale-New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Digestive Health. He is a graduate of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, and completed training in Internal Medicine at Yale University, and Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Stanford University. In his role at the Yale Liver Center, he conducts patient-oriented research evaluating clinical outcomes in chronic liver disease and runs an active clinical trials program examining novel investigational agents for viral hepatitis and MASH. He has served in leadership roles for the ACG, AGA, and AASLD, co-authored national society guidelines addressing HBV, HCV, and non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis, and has served on the Editorial Board of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and JAMA, and as Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Open Gastroenterology and Clinical Liver Disease.
