Dr Jessica Fitzpatrick

Dr Jessica Fitzpatrick is an Accredited Practising Dietitian specialising in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal diseases such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Disorders of Gut Brain interaction, Eosinophilic oesophagitis and Coeliac disease. Jessica has completed her Masters of Clinical Research Methods and PhD at Monash University. Her PhD investigated the potential role of emulsifiers in the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease for which she received the GESA Young Investigator Award for and an oral presentation at the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation meeting in 2025. Jessica is the proud recipient of the Crohn’s Colitis Australia PhD Scholarship and a travel grant from the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation. She is the founder of the GI DREAM, an international organisation aimed at improving the nutritional care of people living with GI conditions. She is passionate about providing patient centred, evidenced based care to improve the quality of life of people living with gastrointestinal disorders. She is currently the nutrition lead of the DGBI, coeliac and EoE at Alfred Health.
