Dr Geoff Kohn

Dr Kohn is a Melbourne-based Upper GI Surgeon with a major interest in oesophagogastric motility disorders. Aside from his luminal foregut surgical practice which emphasises minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, he also runs an oesophageal motility lab.

Dr Kohn is a co-author of the Chicago Classification of Esophageal Motility Disorders version 4.0 , as well as related papers on the utility of oesophageal physiology assessment for management of gastroesophageal reflux, bariatrics and other conditions.

He is active in Clinical Practice Guidelines creation for both SAGES and ISDE, and he sits on the editorial board of the journals Foregut and Annals of the Esophagus. Dr Kohn is a past President of the Australasian Neurogastroenterology and Motility Association.
