With over 20 years (1985 – 2007) of clinical experience as a registered nurse, including 9 years as a Head Nurse, I have a solid foundation in areas such as Gynecology, Maternity, Surgical and Medical Gastroenterology and Emergency Care in Danish hospitals.

Since transitioning to the pharmaceutical sector in 2007, and specifically to Pharmacosmos in 2011, I have focused on supporting healthcare professionals in implementing IV iron therapies.

Currently, as International Nurse Director, I collaborate with healthcare providers worldwide to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based management of anemia and iron deficiency. I also provide educational support to nurses on the background, diagnosis, assessment, and management of anemia and iron deficiency, including practical administration of IV iron therapy.

Over the years, I have personally treated numerous patients with IV iron, gaining firsthand insight into its practical application and patient impact. I have also facilitated the use of Monofer® (iron derisomaltose) across various hospital departments and clinics, supporting healthcare professionals in safely integrating IV iron into clinical practice.

My aim is to provide practical knowledge and guidance to assist healthcare professionals in effectively managing iron deficiency in their patients.
