Dr Asha Jois
Asha Jois is a paediatric gastroenterologist who is currently undertaking her PhD through the Walter Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She is supported by a MACH-Track scholarship and an NHMRC postgraduate scholarship. Her work is exploring regulated cell death pathways in inflammatory bowel disease integrated with clinical and multi-omic data. Recently, she presented her work on a distinct metabolomic profile in children with IBD at the ESPGHAN international conference in Helsinki in May, and was awarded the John Harries Prize for the best presentation in the field of Gastroenterology
