Annalise Stanley
Annalise holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and works across both clinical and research roles within the Gastroenterology Department at St Vincent’s Hospital, Fitzroy.
As an experienced IBD Clinical Nurse Consultant, Annalise manages nurse-led clinics, helpline support, biologic therapy coordination, and compassionate access to medications. She has contributed to numerous investigator-lead gastroenterology clinical trials, including the MANTRA, MIRO, and ENIGMA studies.
In her role within the Multidisciplinary Functional Gut Clinic, Annalise works independently alongside gastroenterologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and pelvic floor physiotherapists. She runs a nurse-led clinic focused on the assessment and management of patients with complex functional gut disorders.
Annalise is passionate about improving the lives of patients living with chronic gastrointestinal conditions, and expands her knowledge through attending national and international conferences and regularly presents at professional meetings. She advocates for a holistic, person-centered approach to care, particularly in addressing the physical and psychological dimensions of chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
