Dr Andrew Scott

Dr Andrew Scott is a Rural Generalist with advanced training in Endoscopy, Surgery and Obstetrics. He currently works in procedural roles across Central Queensland including Emerald, Rockhampton, and Gladstone, while serving as the Clinical Director for Capricorn Coast Hospital. Andrew is passionate about increasing access for rural and regional Queensland. Leveraging his experience of EDNAPS, gained working with Dr Peter Boyd in Cairns Endoscopy, he provided medical leadership for the Rockhampton implementation. Collaborating with equally committed colleagues, he was able to develop a locally appropriate procedure, design the current credentialling process, and directly provide the initial lists while training and supervising additional practitioners. He has a passion for high quality endoscopy, as close to home as possible and EDNAPS is his favourite day at work. Andrew was also involved in the procurement, fundraising and implementation of Teladoc in CQ, an exciting software and hardware solution breaking down geographic barriers.
